Pretty solid showing by our homegrown kids in Fargo this week..
Greco nationals wrapped up earlier in the week and we had 3 national champions - the Prodigy, Travis Wittlake out of Marshfield (170/Cadet), Haydn Maley out of Roseburg at 195/Juniors, Sam Colbray of Hermiston/Iowa State signee at 220/Juniors. We also had 5 other AA including Layne Van Anrooy out of Roseburg (3rd at 160/Juniors). The Oregon Junior National Team took 4th overall.
Wittlake is in the cadet Freestyle finals today (his scores so far: 11-0, 10-0, 10-0, 10-0, 10-0), I have no idea where we stand on the recruiting front, but if we can somehow keep him home vs losing him to the Penn States of the world, that would be absolutely amazing/shocking IMO.
