big weekend on the recruiting front. We've got coaches down in Clovis watching the Doc B tourney. CV & Roseburg made the trip. Also Beav signees Damion Elliott(#3 seed @ 132) and Noah Tolentino (#1 seed @ 145). Gabe Whisenhunt #1 @ 126. Through morning session, all 3 are into the quarters.
Hayden Walters and Rylan Rogers should be on a collision course to meet in the finals at 195.

Getting texts on some results, but texts aren’t inclusive enough on some wrestlers with OSU ties. Whisenhunt in finals.

I was early on the finals for Whisenhunt, but he is in now as are Walters, Rowley, and Lamer.

Whisenhunt wins the final 6-3. Hear that it was a good, wild match.

Rowley went down 3-0 to the #2 ranked guy in the country. D. Lamer went down 8-2 to the #4 guy in the country. Lamer did well.

Walters went down 5-2 to Rogers who is #2 in the country. Walters only weighed 182 early this week in Central Point on the way to the tournament. He has wrestled Rogers many dozens of times in workouts, but too much weight difference.

Gabe beat the #1 ranked kid out of CA (and Cal Poly signee)
Nash Singleton took 3rd in a loaded weight class. Knocked off Brock Bobzien in the 3rd place match. Bobzien signed with Wisconsin and is ranked #8 in the country by Flowrestling. That’s a nice win.
Tolentino took 2nd. He’s currently the #2 ranked wrestler at 145 in CA.
Tons of D1 talent in this tournament.
