I just watched the Chiefs' polish off the Chargers 34-28 at SoFi Stadium.
It is going to be entertaining to watch Oregon State play there on Saturday after having watched the Chiefs and Chargers just play there.
An interesting fact is that SoFi Stadium is set to serve as the site for Super Bowl LVI in less than 60 days.
A second interesting fact is that SoFi Stadium is set to serve as the site for the 2023 National Championship Game in less than 13 months.
Also, on a completely unrelated note, when is Mike Remmers coming off of the IR?

I know you made this post to talk about the stadium, but that game last night was fabulous! The way both offenses were working, you sorta knew that whichever team won the coin toss was going to end the game. Fun game.
Terrible injury, though to San Diego's Parham, though. I've never seen anything like it. Hope he's OK. And if ok, I hope he can retire.

Brandon Staley. Learn to kick a FG.
And if I can pick back up the "when to go for 2 points vs kicking": When the Chargers went up 20-13 with 9 minutes left in the 4th quarter, why didn't they go for 2? They're either up by 7 or 9 if they go for 2.
To me, THAT's when you take the gamble on going for 2 - there's no downside to missing the 2-point conversion (up by 7 still), and there's an amazing pay off if you make it (up by 2 scores).

This is clearly Beaver Football related. Why is it off of the main page?
Oh well.
It is generally better to kick the extra point up seven with nine minutes left. Going for two makes more sense later in the fourth quarter. But, generally, you go for one there. An eight point lead is usually a two possession lead. It only isn't, if your kicker or defense or both are trash.

Thread title: NFL/ non-OSU ✅ First sentence: NFL/ non-OSU ✅ 3rd sentence: NFL/non-OSU ✅ 4th sentence: non- OSU ✅ 5th sentence: NFL/OSU, has nothing to do with your post. ✅ Be better.

I am not posting about SoFi Stadium, just to post about SoFi Stadium. I am posting about SoFi Stadium, because Oregon State plays tomorrow. And it is doubly tied in, because Mike Remmers (Oregon State '12) plays for the Chiefs, and I even asked about him. The post name and first sentence may have nothing to do with Oregon State Football. But I use the first sentence to transition into the second and provide foundational context. Outside of arguably the title, everything is literally about Oregon State football. How we play in the Stadium, where the Super Bowl will be. And how we play in the same stadium that, if we go 14-0 next year, we will play in. I mean, if you objected to the name of the post, you could just change the name of the post. In the end, it's your board, but I respectfully disagree with your call there.

Also, I thought that the board was a little quite for the day before Oregon State's first bowl game since 2013 and arguably the biggest bowl game since 2012. Some of us are just getting back to the board after a week, and I was trying to start up some chatter that was not band-related.

Also, on a completely unrelated note, I see the Rams-Seahawk game has been moved to Tuesday. All those Beaver fans who thought they could go to that game on Sunday at So-Fi before they leave for home found a lump of coal under that tree. Sad for them but I am glad that we decided to stay home at the last moment.....we were planning on driving down the snow impacted/closed I-5 to the game.
