The only thing he can’t seem to overcome is Baltimore management

It must be difficult to make that projection with a player that should have been there a year ago.

I believe that this is the type of 'organization' that is cheap and afraid to make decisions. Sort of like a 'switch hitter' that cannot tell his right from his left. Adley should be in the BIGS - period ! There are so many low performing catchers playing IN MLB that it is hard to 'miss' that fact ! Look at how long the Yankees have messed with Sanchez. A Defensive liability that has also cratered on Offense . The ability to get to, and stay consistent in, MLB is very difficult. Up to this point, ADLEY proven himself at every level.

Adley will be the starting catcher for the Orioles on opening day this year. You sure? I would think they would wait a month or so, so they have control for another year.

I was gonna say they might wait 2 weeks into the season to do it, but in light of the CBA situation this year - not only may the rules change, but not knowing if the season will start on time could also affect service time calculations if that part of the CBA remains the same. Too many variables to even know right now.

They will do the same thing that the Cubs did with Kris Bryant and the Whitesox with Nick. They will wait the allotted time bring him up so they can control him for additional year.

You're assuming that the rules surrounding player control and service time will remain the same after the current lockout/strike. We're in a pretty unstable time here for MLB.

Pretty good assumption since they are the rules until they aren't. And, if guessing, clubs aren't likely to allow new player "control"/contract issues to be retroactive. That's 100's of players over MLB. Many times those changes are implemented over new contract years. Sometimes some issues are immediate. But, for now the current rules are in place.
