My guess is he'll be the next coach but are still negotiating his pay and CFB championship status. I think he'll do well unfortunately. Georgia team defense yards per play was #2 in 2019 (4.3), #13 in 2020 (4.9), and #1 in 2021 (4.0). He's only 35 and it looks like his only west coast connection was a brief stint at ASU in 2012-2013, so if he does well he'll likely leave for the greener pastures of the $EC. I would've much preferred if the Quacks hired Chip or Wilcox.
