Kampschroeder playing PG today v. Pacific. Talia as shooting guard Greta did a nice job today at the point. I don't recall any turnovers she made, and, she managed to get the ball up court during the press.

Greta did bring the ball up the court a lot. I'm not sure she can handle point on a regular basis. It would be good if she can. Talia getting minutes at the '2' would be good.

The more players that are able to bring the ball up could be very important in pac 12 play

The more players that are able to bring the ball up could be very important in pac 12 play In that light, I note that the 'backup' point guard (before today?), Tea Adams, only played 4 minutes today (perhaps because of her 2 turnovers ?)...and the backup-backup (before today ?), Noelle Mannen, only played 4 minutes. I don't think either Adams or Mannen even made an appearance in the 2nd half. Are we looking at a Talia / Greta rotation at PG?

The biggest benefit of this is not that TVO can’t do it, it’s that she’d be a star as a 2 guard who could wander around finding a pick.

Rueck is definitely going to tighten up the rotation to around 8 players. Greta will be one of those players. Which means Tea will get limited minutes. It’s just the way it’s going to work out. Tea is a decent player, but not a game changer. She was the best option as an insurance policy when Aleah decided to pursue her goals outside of OSU. Greta is the future. If she can hold down the fort at PG for 10-15 mins per game, to give Talia a break, then there is minimal need for the insurance policy (Tea.)

It makes me wonder though, how a player like Adams - who was big minutes in her last 2 seasons of D-1 WBB (started 52 of her final 53 games at SDSU) will react to a new role as a seldom used, 5th year senior. As an interesting side note, Tea and Talia are both from Tri-Cities - both with NFL fathers. When Tea was a HS Senior at Juanita High School in Kirkland (2017), I believe that Talia was still several months away from entering Chiawana High School in Pasco.

Tea knew what she was getting into. She knew that OSU would have two 5 star and one 4 star freshmen coming in at guard, and that she would need to display senior leadership and savvy if she wanted to get serious playing time. Today at least, she didn't do it.
I think she'll get more chances over the next few weeks, however. Also, Emily's stock seems to have dropped pretty sharply.

In what alternate universe is Kirkland in the Tri-Cities area?

I always thought the Tri-Cities were Bellevue Kirkland and Mercer Island.
