#13 FIU also lost.
And how does a seeded NCAA team (Penn State) lose a game 8-2?

#13 FIU also lost. And how does a seeded NCAA team (Penn State) lose a game 8-2? I saw that. Hofstra was up 8-0 before Penn State salvaged some respect with 2 late goals in the 78th and 89th minutes. www.ncaa.com/game/5909547/scoring-summary

That's just brutal.

When you're being outclassed/embarassed, the temptation to go "get even" can be strong. Especially when the prospect of missing the next game is no longer a deterrent.

And how does a seeded NCAA team (Penn State) lose a game 8-2? One article offers a partial explanation: "It was a difficult week for the Nittany Lions leading up to match day, with 12 student-athletes out throughout the week due to non-COVID related illnesses, resulting in lost training time." Link
