Saylor Pofffenbarger , freshman guard
Going to be a normal thing.
The NCAA’s recently adopted immediate eligibility rules don’t apply to Poffenbarger, as there was a July 1 deadline for transfers to enter the portal to be eligible for the 2021-22 season. She will not be able to take the court again with her new school until the fall of 2022.

In 12 games (32 minutes total) for UConn as an early enrollee, she shot 13% from the field and 9% from three. Not sure OSU could use another 2/3 with Greta, AJ, Lily, and Adlee, especially not one who doesn't shoot it well.
I do think OSU would likely consider a PG from the transfer portal this off season.

A player leaving UConn was the easiest thing in the world to predict. I doubt she'll be the last. They have too many highly rated players, no way to get them all minutes, and some aren't going to wait 2 or 3 years to get PT. Some will never get consistent PT there.
On the UConn board they are saying she's had injury problems, hasn't been 100% healthy. She certainly didn't show much as a pre-Freshman, but most of the players who did that last year made 0 impact.

Yeah, life in rural Connecticut might be different than suburban Baltimore/Washington DC. She says she wasn't "super engaged" academically. So let's see what academic powerhouse she transfers to, maybe Washington? Certainly the other schools she considered (Oregon, Maryland, Missouri, Tennessee, Oklahoma) don't fit the academic powerhouse profile.
