Tall cotton. Last season OSU's Gloire Amanda wins the Hermann Trophy (soccer's Heisman). This season (without Amanda) they win the Pac-12 outright and secure #1 national tournament seed. I'd say Philomath's Terry Boss has a program going here. Have first round bye and will play winner of St John's v Princeton. BracketIf they win, they'll face winner of #16 New Hampshire (first round bye) vs winner of UNC vs Loyola Maryland. 3 potential home matches for OSU before tournament shifts to the College Cup site for the Final Four. So... How about we win this g.d. thing. (No other Pac-12 schools on our side of the bracket. Other Pac-12 tournament teams: UCLA at large, #2 UW) (Also interesting to note, OSU's Kimya Massey serves as chair of the NCAA Soccer Tournament selection committee. As such, was required to recuse himself from seeding discussions concerning OSU or Pac-12 teams).

Princeton - Ivy League Champions. 7-0-0, 12-5-0 Overall. RPI #57. Leading goal scorer is Kevin O'Toole, who has scored 7 goals in 17 matches. He's the only Princeton player in the Ivy League's top 10 in scoring. He also leads the team in assists (2nd in the league) with 9. Averages 3.12 shots per match, 1.41 on goal. Finished 4th in the Ivy League in points with 23. Other names on the stat sheet are Daniel Diaz-Bonilla and Ryan Clare who have 6 and 4 assists respectively, good for 6th and 9th in the Ivy League. The goal keeper, Jack Roberts, has conceded 12 goals in 15 matches, and has recorded a league best in goals against average in 0.847. He has 5 clean sheets, tied for tops in the Ivy. Jack has 39 saves, the fewest of all the regular keeps in the Ivy League. As a team, Princeton has conceded the fewest goals in the Ivy League this season, with 15. So this is a defense that doesn't let the pressure get to the keeper. Offensively, they scored 29, which is third best.
St. John's - 3rd place in Big East regular season. Eliminated in the first round of Big East Tournament to 6 seed Butler, losing a shoot out when it was 0-0 after 2OT. 5-3-2, 10-5-3 Overall. RPI #29. Leading goal scorer Lucas Bartlett with 5 goals in 18 matches, tied for 8th in the Big East. Brandon Knapp leads the team in assists with 6, tied for second in the Big East. Brandon is also the team's points leader with 14, tied for 9th in the conference. Luka Gavran, the keeper, has conceded 10 goals this season, which gives him a GAA of 0.52, second best in the Big East. 57 saves, 11 shutouts. His saves average puts him 6th in the Big East, but the 11 clean sheets puts him in first where the next best guy only has 5. As a team, the Red Storm has scored 22 goals, 5th in the Big East.
These two teams did face each other back in September. St. John's won, 1-0.
