Though I give the PA guy at Gill credit for putting the “itch” in Mitrovic, I cringe when he pronounces Greta’s name incorrectly. Unfortunately, Ron Callan has picked up on his pronunciation too. Is it really that difficult? They apparently they should have included it in the media guide.

It is spelled Kampschroeder but pronounced Kampschraeder.

The world anxiously awaits how the Notre Dame announcer will mangle the pronunciation of the last names of many players on this year's squad - Taya, Tia, Greta, AJ, Jelena, Jovanna, all will wonder if he's talking about somebody else.
Taylor and Kennedy are probably safe.

Taylor and Kennedy are probably safe. Never stops being funny what that guy did , or maybe sad is a better description. Maybe he retired by now, or the tournament will hire better folks. For those who don't remember, bvrbooster is referring to that tournament in Vancouver BC a few years ago. |

It appears that on the various team sites, only UCLA has pronunciations available. You would hope that announcers would ask players to say it for them and record? There's a concept eh! uclabruins.com/sports/womens-basketball/rosterI think UCLA started it when Onyenwere got tired of what they were doing to her name. |
