Aleah Goodman, 5-9 combo guard from LaSalle high school. 5A player of the year. Seems like a talented player. Rated a 90 by ESPN (3-star). Link

I am assuming the tweet from kelli wedin shows the moment Rueck offered a scholarship. It looks that way anyway. If so, that is a nice reaction caught on pictures.

Assistant coach Eric Ely is one tall dude on the end. I knew him growing up and he is a genuinely nice guy. Great college hoopster in his own right at both Treasure Valley CC and NW Nazarene.

Yeah, I noticed him and then went over to look at his bio. Came up through the ranks the right way. Hard work at small schools driving the team bus (probably). That seems to be the M.O. for Rueck. Not the driving the team bus...the working your *ss off out of the spotlight learning your craft part. When is Mandy's replacement coming on board? Any rumors out there?

It sounds like she has the skillset to play either guard at a high level. She not only was 5A POY last year, she also was her sophomore year! She also sounds like a great kid. Interestingly, she plays AAU ball with the Cal Stars from the Bay Area - the same team that included "there's no 'I' on team but there's a lot of 'I' in Sabrina" Ionescu and fellow 2017 Beaver target Evina Westbrook (LJ's little sister) the reigning 6A POY and currently playing on our U-18 Olympic development team. Hopefully, Evina will come to Corvallis as well!

Is she a four star or five star? I told my brother I thought she was a five star and with a top 10 rating in the nation and a good get.

Cool to see Goodman's potential teammates we are identified as in the running for next year: espn.go.com/high-school/girls-basketball/recruiting/school/_/id/204/class/2017/page/consideringThere is a also a 6'5 or 6'6" JR post from Northern CA who was in SR's hoops camps that we are in the mix for.... For a long time we were the only high-major listed for the Wirth sisters (Jenn and LeAnna), but they just verballed to Gonzaga (there may have been a "BYU effect" as the sisters play for Seton Catholic in AZ, but that is speculation on my part). Would be nice to have another deep tourney run this year to help in this department, seems like the whole Pac-12 has really upped their game in the recruiting department. Doesn't hurt that Goodman committed early and she is on a talent laden team, so let's hope for a halo effect! Go Beavs!

Get to know Aleah Goodman. People who have seen her play remark about how unselfish she is on the court. She has been coached extremely well and has learned from high quality coaches in the LaSalle HS, NW Blazers, and Cal Stars Nike Elite programs. Another quality outside shooter for the Beavs who can make other players around her better. Hope to see her sign her NLI to OSU during the early signing period in November.
