UW coach is a poor sport and a punk. Pretty classless after the game. I didn’t see it. What did he do? Looked like he wouldn’t congratulate Boss.

It looked like he did not shake hands with coach Boss, and then was talking sh$$ at Boss after shaking hands with the officials. One of our assistants was demonstrably upset at him. Being a spoiled jackass is in the water up there. Checks out.

What a match! What an atmosphere! What a tie! Tsiki scoring the biggest goal in OSU soccer history. It was worth the drive down from Milwaukie. The Lorenz was packed, people were standing along the railing beyond the ends of the grandstand at the start of the match, and nobody was siting after that Tsiki goal for the rest of the way.
Campeones! Campeones! Ole Ole Ole!

“We are the Champions” by Queen playing over the loudspeaker. Love it. Fans on the field taking photos with the players. Love it! Great job Beavers! (So if the Beavers are #1 in the nation, and our basketball team made the Elite 8, and the baseball team is only a couple years removed from a National Championship, and our Lady Beaver Basketball team does well, what are all the other Pac 12 schools doing?) It's a great feat, but "the other Pac12 schools" are regularly winning championships in multiple sports. It's the "Conference of Champions" for a reason. It's not a made up or propaganda. The Pac-12 has won the most or tied for the most NCAA titles for 16 consecutive seasons (through 2020-21), winning at least six every year from 1999-2000 to 2018-19 and a record 14 in 1996-97. No other conference has won double-digit NCAA championships in a single year. The Pac12 dominates the Directors IMG Cup, signifying the best overall athletic programs each year based on championship placement. Hell, Furd won that cup 25 STRAIGHT years until UTexas broke the string last year. The Pac12 typically has 3-4+ schools in the top 10 every year. So, the successes mentioned for OSU are awesome. But, the remainder of the conference fairs quite well. Hopefully some OSU teams can help add to the Pac12's dominance. Go Beavs!

Hope the Beavs take a hard look at their corner kick D. Both UW goals came off corners.
Losing their #2 goal scorer (Molina-Diaz. Broken leg) in their W against the huskies in Seattle was a big hit. It’s great to see how they managed to keep their momentum through the rest of the regular season. This squad is pretty deep.
Looking forward to seeing the seeding/bracket on Monday.

Guess I don't watch much college soccer. No stoppage time? Overtime? LOL That’s one thing I really like about college soccer. No “added” stoppage time. Clock is on the scoreboard and when ref stops clock it’s reflected on the scoreboard for all to see. No guessing. Also like the golden goal in OT. You’ve played 90 min, now it’s time to settle it. First goal for the W.

Congrats and a good job. I watched the Second half and it was good hard soccer. They are well coached and physical. So are we. Both teams attack and both teams should go far. I cannot comment on their coaches anger as he shook hands with the ref. He lay have been caring at Him. So I will defer calling him a classless punk. Will leave that to the name callers. If and when I find out what was said a comment might be in order. I am sure we will see them again . Great match now to business.

I am not really a soccer watcher - however, that was the most energy I have seen in that sport ( at any level ). I will watch if it's the Timbers or the Thorns in an important game, but I am a new fan of the Beavers soccer team. Great story on the Coach Boss background - played and graduated from Tulsa. Originally from Philomath, brother played in the NFL .Came from very successful stint at Virginia (NATIONAL Championship ), coaching and recruiting. Don't know how long we can hang onto a guy like this ? Seems like a well respected leader in all levels of soccer . I wonder how we became attractive to the foreign athletes that are performing at such a high level on this team ? Seems to be a key ingredient.

I don't watch the European leagues, but I love to watch the World Cup and the Olympics. It's a lot of strategy so even what looks like holding the ball and delaying is for a purpose. Plus, the scores are lightning fast.

Set piece defense is a bit tricky for the Beavs as they are pretty undersized. Hard to win balls in the air when most teams have several guys over 6' and we've got a bunch of 5'8 dudes out there. It's definitely the Achilles Heel of this team. I'd also disagree that they are a deep team. They probably have as much or more talent top to bottom in our starting lineup as anyone, but never sub unless there's an absolute necessity. Washington was running guys in and out all second half, and OSU only subbed for cramps and bloody noses. It definitely showed in that second overtime, as the Beavs were just barely hanging on, picking up yellow cards left and right for wasting time and/or just grabbing guys to keep them from blowing by. Gritty performance, amazed at the effort of some of the guys, particularly Tsiki Nstabeleng, who seemed to be all over the field and probably defended from his forward position more than I've ever seen him. Djeffal is so good at distributing from the middle, like a point guard in basketball he makes the entire offense go, and our back line is just so solid and almost never makes a mistake or gets beat. A really fun team to watch, can't wait to get back to Lorenz for a tourney game!

Guess I don't watch much college soccer. No stoppage time? Overtime? LOL World Cup qualifying, the World Cup, the European Championships, etc., have longer overtimes in the event of a tie. Do you LOL at those tournaments too? Guess you don't watch much soccer on that level either.

Another "non soccer watcher" here. But I also will follow any Beaver sporting event, especially when it means something. And I did play as a kid, and I occasionally tune into the world cup, as my wife enjoys it......also, I can appreciate good play in any sport.
Anyway, that goal by Thiam to start the the 2nd half was awesome! My son and I went nuts! That's the great thing about soccer, much like hockey.....lots of setting up, and attempts for very little pay off, so the scores are obviously huge. Also, that Tsiki kid sure is a helluva ball handler, wow! He's fun to watch! Overall, I thought the precision passing and ball handling advantage went to us......UW is big, and athletic around the goal.....every corner kick was a nail biter.
I have a question for those who know about Pac12 soccer. I see the Beavs have a ton of international kids. Is that purely by design? Are we unable to get the D1 American kids? I know nothing about college soccer recruiting
