It's not just NIL, the travel is better. Food, nutrition services, etc. Most likely strength and conditioning facilities and support staff are also much better in college. I think pay isn't all that good in the women's nba too. Plus with limited WNBA teams (12), rosters (max of 12), plus many vets hanging on while playing for bigger paychecks overseas... college is a sure thing!

Well South Carolina had 4 declare for the draft who all could've come back for another year. Some of them seem like their chances of sticking in the WNBA are marginal. Returning for a 5th year isn't always the choice made by players.

Kat still ballin' /photo/1 At the risk of being called a "homer" I still steadfastly maintain that Kat Tudor would be an outstanding bench player for an WNBA team.
Her 3 point accuracy and quick release would be very valuable. She also has developed much better ability to create her own shot.
It is really too bad the chances are so limited for the WNBA.
Go Beavs!

I lost track of this one from Stanford, she was a senior but maybe had another year? Either way, gone now

Ashten was an under used talent throughout her career at Stanford.... I don't really know what her shortcomings are but whatever they are Coach did not like them.... She would have been a killer 3-point shooter for the Beavs....I've wanted her in a Beaver uniform since day one....Oh well!! GO BEAVS!!

She would have been a killer 3-point shooter for the Beavs....I've wanted her in a Beaver uniform since day one....Oh well!! GO BEAVS!! Part of the reason I liked her so much: "The 6-foot-5 forward was the media's pick for Pac-12 Sixth Player of the Year in 2020 and carried the Cardinal to the Final Four in 2021, coming off the bench to score 16 second-half points in the Elite Eight against Louisville. After not playing in the opening 20 minutes, she shot 6-for-6 from the field, including 3-of-3 from behind the arc, added three rebounds, four assists and two blocks to help Stanford overcome 12-point halftime deficit and win, 78-63." ------------ This she did as a Frosh....3 years later she's sitting on the bench watching her team get knocked out of the tourney sooner than expected.... OSU fans are not the only ones grumpy about playing time - who gets it and why. GO BEAVS!!

I don't think it was so much that Coach didn't like her, it was that the other players at her position where just better. Hayley Jones was their best player, and she was playing exclusively at the 4 because of her lack of shooting. So right away there is one big position gone. Prectel was great, I would have loved to have her, but you can't play her big minutes over Brink. Brink is just better. In addition Tara had Belibi as an ultra athletic big to play in the right matchups, as well as Demetre and Iriafen. And then last year you add the number 1 recruit in the class with 6'7 inch Betts. There was just too much talent in the Stanford front line. You have 80 minutes a game for your front line, and 7 pretty talented players. That's just a math problem and Prectel just lost out on it.

It's really early but if the Beavers can win the close ones it is possible. They also need to stay healthy.

Beavs could use another BIG. You got this coaches! Sure would of liked to get Betts out of Stanford! That would of been a major boost to a program that desperately needs one. Wonder if we were ever even on her radar once she decided to transfer?
