I will say, Utah has a great group of Sophomores. Kneepkens, Johnson, McQueen, Viero and Rees are going to keep Utah in the Pac-12 running the next couple years. Utah started Pili (a junior) and 4 sophomores. I hope the Beavs 5 freshman this season show the same kind of promise those Utah Sophomores are showing.

Utah has a really good coach who has never had any top level players to work with. She has always done more with less. She turned the program around at Pacific with lesser talent. With the players she has now, who knows how good they can be.

So, this brings up a good point. Utah has a great Soph. class and looking up on ESPN recruiting top 100 I could only find Johnson #42 of 2021 class and Mcqueen #58 in 2020 and the other I didn't find. Why the doom and gloom when we don't get a top 10 recruiting class? Find the good players that fit your program that will stay around 4 yrs.

I don't think 7th is a bad projection for the Beavs right now. Bendu and Timea could be game changers for the Beavs, but until we actually see them healthy and playing, it's difficult to know. I watched the McDonald's All-American game again last night, and Timea has some good moves. I hope she is back soon. Bendu's experience may be just what this team needs as well. I can see her as a real on the court leader and inspiration to her teammates. Perhaps we'll find out soon.

I guess VanDerveer saw something in Utah when she picked them to win the conference.

Going OT. Brutal shooting from Haley Jones.
Brink has totally outplayed Boston today.

Brink fouled out mid OT. Stanford still had a chance, but went totally stupid. Got a 5 second call on an inbound with less than 10 seconds left. Then after 2 missed FTs by SC, called a timeout when they didn't have one remaining. So DUMB for a bunch of smart kids. Haley Jones was just awful today. Stanford should've won but gave this one away.

UW playing Idaho St. live on Pac 12 network. Huskies getting outhustled and no 6'9" Mulkey to clog things up in the paint.

UW looked like they might not break 40 for a while. Pulled away down the stretch 56-39. With about 5 minutes left the starters had combined for 10 points, but 2 of them got going the last few minutes. Bench bailed them out.
