I couldn't watch the 2nd half. Officiating like that just ruins the integrity of the game. Honestly Boston should be struggling with foul trouble every game just like Taylor Jones and Brink do, yet they won't call anything on her. It's not because she plays without fouling, they just won't call them. I can't stand that aspect of the game. I really wish we could replace human refs w/ robots, let's hurry up and advance the technology.

If you'd told me that Stanford had won the battle for rebounds, and hit the 3 over 40% and then said they lost the game I'd have thought you were lying.

When games are decided by the officials it takes away from it. What really gets me is that they never improve, you would think that with repetition comes improvement.

Good article on how COVID cancellations are being handled this year. UCLA is really struggling having already cancelled three games and now already postponing their upcoming games with Arizona and Arizona State. This article also finished on a strong note about Greta's play last week. herhoopstats.substack.com/p/pac-12-week-6-covid-cancellations-ncaa

FWIW, from The Athletic, fun to hear again of the uck woes, and a slight mention of us, although sounds like pity towards us...they might still make it ...
Oregon, which has been decimated by injuries and has put up confounding results in recent weeks despite plenty of talent on the floor, still could turn things around with a healthy Te-Hina Paopao, Nyara Sabally and Endyia Rogers. The same goes for the Ducks’ rival up I-5: Oregon State. The Beavers are going to continue to improve throughout the season, and we’ve seen lower-seeded Pac-12 teams, because of the depth of their conference, make deep tournament runs.

Paopao has had a number of injuries and surgeries. Anyone hates to see any athlete get injured , but, if I was her surgeon - I would be recommending no more high level competition unless she doesn't mind the potential for a more serious injury that could block her future aspirations !
I don't know what they are implying about the Beavers not being healthy ?

Utah's schedule isn't close to comparable to Colorado's. They played @ Oklahoma, Gonzaga on a neutral court and BYU at home.
Colorado played...Marquette as maybe their best opponent? Oklahoma St. is way down this year. Utah played 2 WCC teams, but they are by far and away the top 2. Colorado played middle of the road San Francisco.
USC's schedule was fairly fluffy. Missouri St., Seton Hall (maybe?) and Central Florida were their only opponents worth a darn.

Colorado and Utah both lost. Not sure how that shows how great they turned out to be.

Colorado and Utah both lost. Not sure how that shows how great they turned out to be. Isn't it a little early to tell how good Colorado is? They've only lost one game, and that was to Stanford by single digits. If the Beavs beat them, maybe is shows a little kink in their armor, but there's no shame in your only loss being to Stanford.

Oregon got off to a horrible start, spotted UConn a 10-0 lead. All Ducks ever since, up 10 approaching halftime.

39-24 Ducks at the half. UConn was already down several players and now Christyn Williams is on covid protocol. Without Bueckers they just aren't very good. I don't think they've been that dependent on a single player since Taurasi was a Jr/Sr. When he doesn't have a huge talent advantage, Geno is looking like a pretty ordinary coach these days.

72-59 final. It wasn't that close. Ducks had a 20 point lead moments before a little UConn run at the end.

UConn was down three No. 1 recruits in Christyn Williams, Paige Bueckers, and Azzi Fudd. They’ll be a much different team once Bueckers rejoins.
Caroline Ducharme is excellent. I believe she visited Oregon State. Would have been a great fit — great length and can really score it.
Evina Westbrook has been somewhat underwhelming. Not quite the player many expected her to be in high school.
