With Taylor and Kennedy in the mix, and Raegan on her way, the Beavs are loading up on bigs the way the ducks are loading up on point guards. Jelena may reach the point where she is too good to stay even a couple more years. She could start now for a number of programs. Jelena looks physically better, but we'll see how it translates to mobility outside the paint. Great asset in the paint playing zone or m2m vs back to the hoop post. But, liability vs posts with a midrange and out game. However, the ucks are plenty big and balanced. More size than I realized before looking. F/C as listed - 6'5", 6'2" (Sr), 6'2"(Sr), 6'1", 6'4", 6'7", 6'8". Commits Van Slooten 6'3", Basham 6'7" While Furd is far smaller than I thought with only Brink and Prechtel(?) at 6'4" and 6'5". Stanford does have 6-7 Betts committed for '22. They currently have 3 more listed at 6-3, plus a bunch of wings who are 6-1 or above. No need to feel bad for Stanford and their lack of size.

Considering the appearance of her present body type, it might be possible that she did indeed grow a bit. Often getting taller goes together with becoming slimmer. Diet might have also played a part. Anyway, she appears to have undergone a significant transformation.
As to Brown, we should remember that one reason she committed to Oregon St ia that she saw herself as a 3 at the next level and knew that Oregon St had enough height already so she would not be forced into playing in the post. She could easily play the post defensively and the wing on offense. I think in respect to who plays where it might be better to just wait until the season starts since to us the effects of Browns rehab and Jelena's transformation are not yet known.
As too height, Oregon has picked up an athletic 6'8" player from Canada, who due to just beginning to play the game has a big upside left. Washington also added a 6'9" grad transfer from Rice, who is more of a parimeter player than a true post. The league and womens basketball is getting taller buy the year, so Browns wanting to play wing is not totally crazy. This happened in the NBA and it appears the womans game is following suit.

Kennedy playing the wing by height alone isn't crazy. But, she was severely limited in guarding the typical quick wing player before her injury. It's not unheard of for a player to come back in better shape, stronger, faster, but KB's forte was not playing D on the perimeter nor was shooting from range (36% overall, 25% from three). Scott will likely "experiment early on as most coaches do. Plus he has lots of new pieces to mesh so it is a complete guess to who will play, let alone with whom. And, in the Pac12 it is a real match up game with certain opponents' talent levels/skills. There are some teams that KB could give some minutes at the "3", and others where she'd be a liability.
We have a versatile group, but I'm seeing OSU's strength as having a nice group of very athletic, versatile players that are 6'3" and under that will make life easier for the bigs. But, not seeing a front line of (3) "bigs" being a main lineup, but more of a great change of pace.
My "guess" anyway.

It may be that Kennedy can play the 3 on offense but there is no way she would be playing D on a wing. As a freshman she was charged with guarding the best between their 4 & 5. It will help Taylor out a lot to have her back again.

From hearing Brown speak in recent months, she seems more focused on getting better as a 4. She should be able to score over just about anybody from within 10' of the basket at the college level. She does opposing teams favors when she hangs out at the 3 point line.

It will help Taylor out a lot to have her back again. Don't get me wrong, I am not implying that she should or would be playing the 3, but in a zone her length might be an advantage at the 3. What is often forgotten is that a taller player can play farther away from the player they are guarding. They just need to understand the proper spacing involved. Smart players with that sort of skill can often get away with defending a much quicker player. One disadantage to her playing on the parimeter would be on players driving around her, but with two shot blockers still around the basket, it is unlikely would want to take it to the hole. We also should remember how many opposing post players killed the beaves by scoring from the outside. Brown would be ideal on defense against that type of post. Taylor had a tendency to not follow her man outside but rather she stayed under the basket and that was exploited by many teams. This is a habit she picked up in high school which she might have kicked by now with enough reps. Any way it is good to have multiple options for different match up situations.
