I have always thought the main branch of the Post Office should be relocated to someplace in NW Corvallis (the Albertson's building would have been perfect), and the current PO block should be sold for development. It's a pretty valuable piece of property, right on the river, in what passes for Corvallis' entertainment district, which was pretty hopping before Covid, and will be again.
The current PO has limited parking and other problems. Many days it's a mess trying to get there (and the lanes on 2nd Street are so narrow it should be turned into a one-lane street, but that's a topic for another day).
Open a branch office downtown so nearby businesses can still have a PO box and those in South Corvallis still have a nearby postal outlet. Or even build the new PO in southtown to spur some development there. There is ample room.

You guys should’ve signed up for OSU’s Walktober through the College of Public Health. It was fun and motivational for getting steps in each day…and watching the fall colors brighten the days.
