Is there another Pac-12 team in the conference that can match up in size?

I think there were two advantages for Talia playing last season.
For her there was the realization that she really needed to pick up her conditioning. I think her drop in production at the end of the season had to do largely with her running out of steam, and that Rueck's comments about how good a shape she is now is a reflection of him having the same thought.
The other advantage from last season is Talia's teammates realization that she can really pass and that they will need to pay attention when they are on the court with her. Early on a number of Talia's "turnovers" were the result of people standing around and watching her passes go on by because they just weren't expecting it. Now they know she really is all that and they better be ready for it.

Agreed - I thought playing Stanford and South Carolina in particular, where here game struggled against their elite athletes, would be particularly motivating for her. Aleah was amazing in how her game evolved to where she could still produce against elite athletes/teams, and Talia will need to do the same.

Great interviews! I was especially excited to hear what Taya said about Jelena. I am really looking forward to seeing her play, as well as all of the newcomers. Jelena, if she has improved as advertised, could make a huge difference for this years team.

I'm excited to see these young women play basketball. Another group of high-character individuals. Great interviews, and can only be enthusiastic about this team after listening to their coach and each interview.

The maturity of all of the players interviewed is impressive. They don’t sound like college kids. Go Beavs!
