Hope our coaches and the players were watching that game plan. Herbert was marginalized in every way with DL pressure and tight man to man receiver coverage, with one safety deep to protect the long ball. That was an education for every team in the country to cork up the oppositions offense . You can say you don’t have the right personnel, but, we have the longest / fastest DB’s and CB’s / Safeties, we have ever had. Besides being fun to watch. I loved seeing herbert fail again and again ( uo’s campaign for him to be the best all time - took a major hit )

I’m going to refrain from commenting on the substance of this post and how it relates to the Beaver football team. Turning over a new leaf I guess.

I am suggesting that this scheme should be rolled out this weekend versus UTAH or else we will get chewed alive through the air , like they did to ASU last night !

Just like with their push on their NUMBER 1 draft pick every day this year . Defensively, his stats do not even have him first on the team !

Defensively, his stats do not even have him first on the team !He's been injured and only played in about 2.5 games. If you watched any of the 2nd half of the Cal game, you can see why he will be a very high pick. Without him in the lineup, their D is very average.

I can say that the kid abused a couple of Cal O-linemen while he was in there. I have no idea how good those Cal dudes are, but an average player wouldn't do what he was doing. That said, Thibideaux impressed me more in that 1/2 of a football game than Dion Jordan did in his entire *uck career, and Jordan ended up the #3 overall pick (and was one of the biggest draft busts of the last 10 years).

Dion Jordan was a combine draft pick. That is why teams shouldn't draft only off of measurables.

Too funny. While watching the Chargers-Browns game 2 weeks ago, I wondered where all the Herbert sucks comments from his college days had gone given his damn good rookie year. I believe there wasn’t a lack of Herbert will be a bust in NFL comments back then too. Good to see at least one poster is sticking to his guns despite the strong evidence to the contrary.

Herbert always had the talent. He never had good coaching at UO.

Herbert always had the talent. He never had good coaching at UO. Yep. Poor coaching and he also didn’t have very good WR’s. In contrast, now they have good WR’s and a QB that struggles to get them the ball.
