Often in the Pac 12 you only have to survive to achieve victory. Like it or not, uhoh has shown that they can.

It's the Pac 12.....expect the unexpected Only thing that's somewhat constant is the stupid, overrated ducks keep eeking out games Actually, the only constant in the whole league is that Arizona sucks. You better be ready for everyone else.

UCLA, WSU, ASU and/or us will handle them 1+ losses in the next few weeks.

I just watched their coach's weekly press conference since it popped up in my feed - this guy is a master spinner of bad news, but oh man are they screwed. They already couldn't score - and now they have lost their top 2 QBs for the season. He's talking about the team being in great spirits, but they just lost their most winnable conference game 34-0. That 18-game streak should easily get to 24.

It’s difficult for college football teams to come out with a ton of energy after an emotional victory the week prior. Utah is coming off an extremely emotional week unrelated to football. It’s possible they will put together a storybook end to their season following their tragedies. It’s also possible they’ll be really flat this Saturday. Even if they do, the Beavs need to be better than recent weeks or it’ll be a nail biter. I’d like us to be up by a couple of scores in the 4th and methodically put the game away. A win this week would take a lot of pressure off on the bowl eligibility front.

Utah is best coached team in league. This week will be tough. Wittingham is a consistent winner. There are some really good coaches around the league who don't enjoy the same success or get the chance to stay long enough to build it. Wittingham has some built in advantages that help. A strong tradition and program identity which they can recruit to every year from a deep pool of instate talent who fit and buy in to that identity. I think 5-6 defensive starters are home grown. He also seems like a coach who's compass is pointed in the right direction and that builds trust and respect with the players.

What will be the bigger factor in this game? 1) Tibesar creating a defensive scheme that will actually work for 60 mins or; 2) Nolan figuring out how to throw the ball consistently again. 1B) Nolan getting better protection from the line. Well I think OSU is first in the pac 12 in sacks allowed so I'm not sure what you're talking about. I know the qb can be hurried and not sacked but Nolan is responsible for 2 or 3 sacks where he just held the ball too long.

In the last 2 games he’s been under pressure regularly. Nolan avoids alot of sacks by being elusive, and he’s a great runner. It just didn’t work at the end of the WSU game.

File under Bulletin Board... The Beavs D is horrid. Just HORRID I tell you. Oh, and OSU is kind of like the Utah State of the Pac12. Yeah, I think I'm getting kind of tired of Johnny NewGuy throwing shade our way. Another losing streak on the line. Lets put an end to this one too while we're at it!
