i've heard a couple different plans. the games on the 18-21 at surprise stadium are firm. i saw a copy of the 2022 schedule and it shows us playing Xavier the 24-26 in surprise, i talked to a dugout club member who said those 3 games are being moved to Scottsdale. looking to plan my trip and don't want to stay the whole time in surprise if the second weekend is in Scottsdale. The 2022 Sanderson Ford College Classic website is very confusing. It has OSU playing New Mexico on 2-15, Gonzaga on the 16th, Minnesota on the 17th and New Mexico again on the 18th. It also shows the Beavs playing Nebraska in a 3 game series beginning on 2-21.
I think that Nebraska series has been replaced with Xavier in a 3 game set starting on 2-24. The Giants "new Charro" Stadium in Scottsdale might be the venue for that series.
The OSU official site or the Sanderson Classic site will likely have an accurate schedule up before long - we are still almost 4 months away from those crisp 60 degree, sunny February days in Arizona.

NM) is a Tuesday. Unlikely that a 4 game "Classic" would begin on a Tuesday and conclude on the 18th (Friday). MLB Spring Training doesn't begin until 2/26 in 2022. I'm believing that the Sanderson CLASSIC will in fact be 2/18-21. |

Just ran through the 2022 Baseball schedules for many of the teams that have been in Surprise (Sanderson Ford Classic) the past 4 or 5 years. I came up empty regarding any clues. Some teams are beginning to post 2022 schedules (i.e. Ohio State, Duke) but they have locations/games listed for 2/18/22 - 2/21/22 that don't involve Surprise or the Beavs. Gonzaga has been the most frequent team in Surprise, other than Beavs, but they haven't posted 2022 yet. Interestingly Dixie State (WAC) has posted their 2022 schedule and they open 2/18-20 vs. ASU in Phoenix. |
