BA OPBA ERA OPERA 2007 .263 .295 5.52 4.75 2008 .275 .249 5.47 5.10
2009 .254 .246 3.78 4.56
2010 .251 .277 4.82 3.59
2011 .261 .266 3.42 4.47
2012 .270 .272 3.51 4.30
2013 .285 .218 2.32 4.96
2014 .268 .208 1.89 4.46
2015 .253 .218 3.03 3.28
2016 .233 .232 3.35 3.95
These stats do not include non conference or playoff games. I believe college baseball bats were changed in 2011 and the ball was changed in 2015. We need improved pitching and hitting to win the conference in 2017.

While there may be merit of year to year comparisons, these numbers neeed to have a big asterisk and disclaimer. Lower ERAs and lower BA were impacted by the changes in bat specs to reduce pop, don't remember the exact year(s). The overall trends may be similar for most teams in college baseball over the past 10 years. Although it is clear this year's BA was not up to OSU standards.
