there are no national seeds left.starting to hear the word "parity" being used a lot. if by parity they mean that they over value teams from the east coast and left out some teams west of the Mississippi who were deserving then I agree

FWIW, the guys at D1baseball.com again said the other day that O State got hosed by the Selection Committee. They are not over it, so why should we be? I'm still upset about it, dam those GDSOB's.

I've been reading the D1 articles. Those gentlemen are some fancy dancers, not that I can blame them. In one sentence they will say the ACC/ underachieved then the next one how they are still the best, all with incredible tact of course. My favorite part was when they said something to the effect that the West Coast followers must be doing a victory lap. I'd say they hit the nail on the head there.

UCSB went 1-2, not 0-2. Not unusual for the new kid on the block to get bombed. Look what happened to us in 2005. Getting to Omaha is bloody difficult, winning there even more so.

Coastal Carolina (3-1) stays alive with a 4-1 win over TCU (2-1). Coastal Carolina pitcher threw 137/138 pitches (depending on the official stats source used). 101/102 of them strikes. His first complete game pitched. Winners of tomorrow's games advance to the CWS finals. 2nd CG of this CWS. Gutsy effort. |

What the heck is a Pac-12 team doing in the CWS Final? That's gotta be a mistake. They have a first year coach, and their players are goof off's who get their hair washed in the dugout between innings. Coastal has never been to Omaha, so having them in the finals is crazy. And they have both a rally monkey and an inflatable shark in their dugout. Everyone knows stupid stuff like that never works.

Coastal was apparently throwing things at Gary Gilmore in the late innings. Reminded me of DBar and Pat casey. The players were looser than the coach. |
