He's done these for freshman most years, hopefully ones for A.J. and maybe Talia will follow soon ! I enjoy her confidence.

Super excited to see Greta on the floor. So well spoken for a freshman. Glad she likes OSU, Corvallis, the coaching staff, etc. We can't have 5-star recruits leaving our program after year 1.

She is well spoken. That Ron Callan interview is just one very small part of the many great experiences that a freshman at a program like this gets to enjoy throughout the year. Unfortunately, absolutely none of that was available last year, and the freshmen could only compare their drab existence here to the better times back home in the past. I would speculate that's the main reason we lost Sasha. I don't envision a repeat. |

Of course she would have been homesick - college life sucked last year. How could an 18 year old girl have been anything but homesick.
Greta's had a whirlwind of new activities the last few weeks. Now, classes start, she gets to meet a ton of new people, go to parties and football games, look forward to a full season of basketball where the average crowd will probably include more people than she's ever played before TOTAL in her life, a trip to Hawaii ...
Who has time to be homesick?

I love hearing her speak of playing 1-4, and being able to defend the same. Of late, Rueck seems to be going the route of the NBA, where teams are now in love with lankey players that can defend multiple positions and score from anywhere. It was odd to see pictures of next-year's recruits Gardiner, Hansford and Beers (below) all about the same height, and Adlee at 6'0 isn't much smaller. We're moving towards a team that can switch against anybody on defense, and where teams cannot hide a smaller or slower player when defending against us.  |
