It would be nice if she could throw the javelin for OSU and play hoops, but I wouldn't suggest it (though her running skills might be useful). My youngest sister was a small college all-American in the javelin; they also wanted her to play hoops but throwing the javelin is one of the most awkward motions - very physically taxing, especially at the highest levels. Too much risk of nagging injuries.
