The reports today are that they are now persuing LSU's coach. Clearly the message they are trying to send is that they are in talks with every star coach in the country.

Rumor has it the AD missed 2 crucial meetings for the 64 field I wouldn’t be surprised to see Casey leave!

I happen to think if you make inflammatory and bigoted statements, you deserve to get called to the carpet on it, but that's just me. I happen to think if people overall just got less butthurt about stupid things, the world would be a better place. If you wish to doth protest a statement a person makes, saying "Why don't you keep your stupid political opinions to yourself" doesn't exactly put you on a higher moral authority... edit: I just wanted to point out I am aware of the irony of my own post. |

Now that it has played out a bit, let me explain.
I lived in Texas , I did not just stop by for a barbecue or a visit to Billy Bob's. I was NOT being political.
I had grown men marching down the middle of my neighborhood with loaded rifles and pistols. This was about six blocks from an elementary and high school.
Guns are allowed in churches, schools and almost any place of business. This is insane.
As far as Bible Thumpers, these are the guys that only use religion when it serves their purpose. They are not 'religious' by any stretch.
Last, I touched on the environment. I prefer Oregon due to the Mountains, Lakes, Rivers, Hiking and Ocean. There is not ONE freshwater lake in the entire state, the mountains are in El Paso and they are just big rock and dirt piles.
San Antonio area has a little beauty as does Austin.
If you like those situations, good for you.
I am more of a left coaster. I believe that Casey also sees the quality of life thing.

He didn't accept - if even interested or offered ?
I had no idea that he was now getting such good coin at OSU. That's great, he sure deserves it. No one has done more for that University over such a long period of time.
He knows the game, helps the kids be the best they can be and gives them ALL a chance to succeed.
Me thinks he deserves his own statue or bust in the hall of fame museum.
