I had no idea who this guy was but apparently he's one of the greatest sports writers of all time and now he spends his retirement covering the local HS girls hoops team in Morton, IL.

	I'm currently watching a documentary on beavers. It's the best dam show I have ever seen.

TheGlove: Thanks for posting this wonderful story.....There were so many great stories squeezed into the main story.
One of America's most highly acclaimed sports writers sitting in empty bleachers writing state of the art stories about the local girl's basketball team.....
In addition to his fame and glory, he has suffered through more than his share of personal life tragedy...

And he found a touch of redemption in a girl's basketball team, and a little more telling us about it in beautiful prose....
