Holy Cow! Bottom of the 9th with the Gauchos down 3-0 and the back-up freshman catcher gets a WALK-OFF Grand Salami for Santa Barbara. Unfreaking-believable!

Checketts has been at UCSB for only five years and is 40 years old. Casey had coached at OSU for 11 years, and was 46 years old when he first went to Omaha. Pretty amazing. Even though Checketts signed a contract extension last year thru 2020, I'd be surprised if he isn't looked at for one of the open slots this summer. He's certainly up for a pay raise.

The good merchants of Omaha are jumping off roofs. LSU goes down and all that money disappears. SEC, despite all those regional hosts are clinging to Florida as their only hope. I am not a fan of FSU, but an FSU win tomorrow would not bother me.

Poor ump. He had to be sure the guy touched home. Then all hell broke loose. I didn't notice when it was live that he had gotten caught up in the dogpile. Good stuff.
