As a snowbird I try to attend sporting events especially basketball and gymnastics when I am in Tucson. Its always been a pleasant affair both economically and interacting with their fans. They have had some super deals on purchasing 10 game General Admission seats. Parking is very easy and if you go a little early you can park free within a couple of blocks of the game. General Admission seating were on a first come basis and the whole upper half of the coliseum was available for GA and viewing the games were very enjoyable. I think it worked out to about $4 per game per person. Getting to see Mik's buzzer beater is one of my favorite memories.
Well forget all of that. The good times are over since their success last season. All WBB tickets are now reserved (no general admission) and parking is done on a season pass according to your donation level and is not free. No deals on buying tickets for ten games. Single game tickets will be sold on a single game if available on game day.

Supply and demand, Lefty, supply and demand. Arizona is obviously thinking that the demand curve has shifted drastically, just as it has on your winter home in Tucson and your summer home in the northwest. It's what has made ours the most successful economy in the history of the world.
So the anticipated 'demand' for more of the same as last year is apparently there. Now we get to see whether Barnes and staff can deliver on the 'supply' side.
