Tigard has a Junior pitcher (Class of 2023) that is getting some good reviews from the Rankings Parlors for his strong performances on the tournament circuit this summer.
Recently Prep BB Report labeled him, "Oregon't top uncommitted prospect".
Buddy Brands is a 6-3, 200 RHP that flashes a very athletic and effortless delivery of a lively fastball that sits in the 86-88 box and has good command of it. He throws a cutter off the fastball and shows a slow curve to change speeds. Reports on him stress a "fast arm action" and "good movement through the zone with the FB".
I don't have any current recruiting information on him. Has either OSU or UO offered? Is he a Walk-On candidate? Does either school have any interest? I haven't seen him but have looked at some clips and a video.
