This is the kind of guy that is extra hard on himself too . When you are not used to failure , at any level, it can really play games with the mental part of hitting !
I think I recall that his dad ( football player ), was always a great help to him when he was going through a down period .
Maybe that could be the magic elixir !

I believe this is his contract year too. That is correct. He is an unrestricted free agent next year. |

MC has nine hits in his last six games, average up to .220. That's not good but he was at .196 or so about 20 days ago.
