Wow! Great!
What’s an Exhibit 10 deal?

Wow! Great! What’s an Exhibit 10 deal? I believe it is basically a league minimum, non-guaranteed contract that also gives the team an option to convert it to a two-way deal (NBA and G League contract). Basically it means he’ll play in summer league and have a chance to go to pre-season camp. While those who sign just a summer league contract have a chance to play their way to a full camp invite, it is non-guaranteed that they will be invited. Not certain if Exhibit 10 contracts guarantee invite, but normally those players do go to camp. So in short, basically a “preferred” undrafted free agent contract.

Wow! Great! What’s an Exhibit 10 deal? This is the fifth year with Exhibit 10 deals. Exhibit 10 is a $50,000.00 bonus to Thompson, if he is cut by the Bulls and then subsequently signs with the Windy City Bulls (the Chicago Bulls' G-League affiliate). Basically, it is a guarantee that the Bulls will retain Thompson's rights for one year in exchange for $50,000.00 guaranteed (plus the $7,000.00+/mo. that he can make in the G-League). Kylor Kelley and Tres Tinkle both signed Exhibit 10s last year.

made his summer league debut today. 11 pts, 1 ast 1 steal in 26 minutes off the bench, think he was 3-8 from the field. Caught a little of it live and Bulls were force-feeding their 2020 lottery pick from what I saw and Ethan mostly had "go stand corner/baseline" duties on offense. Still better than sitting on the bench.

Still better than sitting on the bench. I watched most of the game as I wanted to see Ayo as well as Ethan. Spot on regarding force feeding Williams. He and Dotson were only players getting consistent looks. Ethan’s first time with the ball saw him try his patented get into lane and then step through — was blocked. Then he airballed a 3. But settled down after that and played fairly well.

Nice second game for Ethan with 9 points, 6 rebounds and an assist and block. Only shot 3 of 9, but 2 of 4 from three. I think it will be difficult to make Bulls with all their guard FA signings as well as Dotson and Ayo, but hopefully more solid performances will give him a chance to catch on elsewhere if not with Bulls.

I've seen both of his first two summer league games in person, and he has a very nice feel for the game but doesn't have the elite pop of some of the higher level guards in summer league. Luckily he has good size and uses that to his advantage to get his shot off. I would expect him to get a shot in the G-league this year for someone, hopefully he can add enough at the margins to his game to stick.

Tuned in to Bulls game last night basically to see how Ayo Dosunmu did and managed to see Ethan hit a basket. He ended up with the two points and a rebound in about 7 minutes. I’d put his chances of making the team at nil, but hopefully he shows enough to keep his dream alive.

The Bulls have to bring that down to 17 before the season begins. I have heard that Ethan is in the mix for one of the final three spots. I believe that the Bulls are trying to see, if Matt Thomas is worth it or if they can low ball him. Ethan might be able to sign a two-way contract, if things break right.

Ethan scored 29 for Windy City Bulls in G League last night on 12 of 19 shooting and 5-8 from 3. This prompted me to look up what Tres and Stevie were doing and then I ended up going down a rabbit hole of "former Beavs - where are they now". So here's some fairly useless information: Tres - Italy Stevie - Italy Kylor Kelley - UK Eric Moreland - China Big G - Montenegro Devon Collier- Puerto Rico Joe Burton - Finland Roeland Schaftenaar - Spain Olaf Schaftenaar - Spain Angus Brandt - Japan Jared Cunningham - looks like he last played a few games in China 2019 Roberto Nelson - last played in Mexico 2019 Looks like Joe Burton has put together a nice little Euro career - Denmark, Finland, 5 years in France and then back to Finland. Not too shabby.

Tres is at Vanoli Cremona. In Cremona's last game, they lost to Treviso 96-83. Tres Tinkle led Cremona in minutes played and points. He often plays PF rather than SF, because their is not much height in Italy. Stevie is at UnaHotels Reggio Emilia. Reggiana is a better team than Cremona and is in the Europe Cup. The "Regular Season" of the Europe Cup just wrapped up yesterday. Reggiana beat Avtodor, Zaragoza and Hapoel Gilboa Galil (twice) to advance to the "Second Round." Reggiana was drawn with the Hakro Merlins Crailsheim (Germany), Kyiv-Basket (Ukraine) and Telenet Giants Antwerp (Belgium). The second round begins in 20 days and will last into February. In the last game in the Europe Cup, Stevie started and played 31 minutes. Stevie had 12 points, 2 rebounds and an assist. Kylor Kelley plays for the London Lions. The Lions are also in the Europe Cup. The Lions beat Bayreuth, Donar (twice) and Kapfenberg (twice) to advance to the "Second Round." The Lions were drawn with Bahçeşehir Koleji (Turkey), Avtodor (Russia) and Bakken (Denmark). If the Lions and Reggiana continue to win, they will eventually play each other in the Europe Cup Playoffs. It should be noted that Avtodor finished ahead of Reggiana in Group D of the "Regular Season." Kelley is the Lions' regular starter at center. He started in the last game against Bayreuth and scored 4 points with 7 rebounds and two assists in 24 minutes. Eric Moreland played for the Shanxi Loongs until April, but I do not see him on any roster now. Last year (2020-21), Moreland played in 40 games with 24 double-doubles, averaging a double-double every night. Big G plays for Mornar Barsko zlato (Mornar Bar). Mornar Bar was in the Europe Cup and were on their way to the Second Round but were stunned by Iraklis BC (Israel) 83-82 in Greece after missing the game-winner with five seconds left. That loss allowed ZZ Leiden through to the Second Round. Leiden will now play Bayreuth, Legia Warsaw and Parma. Big G has been the second-string center but did not play in the loss to Iraklis. Mornar Bar is also dead last in the AdmiralBet ABA, which is basically the first-tier Yugoslavian League. (Kosovo and Macedonia play in other leagues, but the ABA is comprised of the best teams from the other five countries.) Bar is a beautiful town on the Adriatic, btw: Devon Collier plays for the Arecibo Capitanes. The Capitanes just won the BSN Championship yesterday over the Guaynabo Mets four games to two. In the Championship Game, Collier finished playing 11 minutes. He had two points and three rebounds. Collier had the sixth-highest +/- in the game. Joe Burton played for KTP Basket until March, but I do not see him on any roster now. Burton was a starter for KTP Basket. In his final game in March, he finished with 13 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and a block. Roeland Schaftenaar plays for Leyma Coruña. Leyma Coruña is currently tied for second place in the 18-team LEB Oro. The top nine teams make the playoffs. In his last game, Roeland had six points and five rebounds in 13 minutes in a game with Bàsquet Girona (Olaf's team). Olaf Schaftenaar plays for Bàsquet Girona. Bàsquet Girona was founded by Marc Gasol. Bàsquet Girona is currently tied for 14th place in the 18-team LEB Oro. In his last game, Olaf had a rebound in 17 minutes in a game against Leyma Coruña (Roeland's team). Angus Brandt plays for the Kagawa Five Arrows in the Japanese B2 League. Kagawa is currently tied with FE Nagoya atop the B2 League. Brandt is a starter for Kagawa. In his last game, he had 16 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists in 26 minutes in a 92-90 win over the Fukuoka Rizing Zephyr. Brandt has had a double-double in 7 of the 13 games so far this year. Brandt has finished in the double-figures in scoring in each game. He was the B2 League Player of the Week in Week 4. Jared Cunningham was signed by the Pistons and the Motor City Cruise but was just released on Monday without playing a game for either (apparently?) He last played for Bnei Herzeliya in Israel. He played two games, scoring four points, a rebound and three assists in 27 total minutes in the two games. Roberto Nelson last played in Mexico on December 29, 2019.
