I have mentioned him earlier and as of June 23rd he was still showing as uncommitted. Gunnar Myro, the younger brother of OSU RSF, Paul Myro. Gunnar will be a Junior this fall at Bishop Gorman HS in Las Vegas. He's coming off an outstanding Sophomore year at BGHS and is currently ranked the 4th best prospect in Nevada for 2023. Here is a brief scouting report on him.
Body: 6-foot-0, 197 pounds.
Defense: IF. Athletic, sure handed defender. Ranges well for his physical size. Advanced feet that get him into position. Fluid through the ball. Excellent internal clock. Athletic enough to stay at shortstop. Projects to move to 3B with his physical size and power.
Arm: RH. Accurate with strong carry.
Hit: RH. Spread, squared set up. Simple stride for separation with coiled upper half. Excellent hand speed and strength through the zone. On plane with some natural lift through extension. One of the, if not the, top bats in the 2023 class.
Power: 375'
Run: 7.08 Sixty
Very difficult to find any stated recruiting interests and schools he may be considering. Certainly the Beaver coaches know him and the family, they signed his brother. His talent, especially the bat with a 75.30 swing speed and 103 mph exit velo would have drawn multiple offers by now.
