Sort of off topic but anyone know when the team retreat is? Other Pac-12 schools are having theirs in August.

Thanks for posting greybeav. I skimmed through this for now and will go back and read it all later. I was particularly interested in what they had to say about Washington. I think the addition of Mulkey and Schwartz will be a huge boost to move Washington up in the standings this year. Nice thing about a new coach joining a program that is down, there's really only one direction to go. I think you will see decided improvement up there in Langley's first season and it looks like she's doing well at recruiting. The conference overall is doing well.

Agreed, thanks for posting, I read all 4 installments.
The comments about Washington were a bit odd. Jess Finney a key returner? She didn't do much as an early enrollee. Failing to mention Missy Peterson returning after injury, or veterans Darcy Rees and Alexis Griggsby is very strange.

I re-subscribed to The Athletic, well written articles generally, I'm searching for OSU specific stuff, but in the meantime found this article from May about the Transfer Portal
2. Arizona Wildcats
How, oh, how will the Wildcats fill the productive shoes of a player like Aari McDonald? Well, we knew it wouldn’t be with a single player (although Sam Thomas’ return for another year certainly helped), but how about with the addition of three transfers who will impact every facet of Arizona’s offensive and defensive game plan.
The group starts with two players who were potential double-doubles every time they stepped on the floor this season: Ariyah Copeland (Alabama) and Koi Love (Vanderbilt). Copeland is a 6-foot-3 forward who will boost the Wildcats on the glass, an area where Arizona was middle of the pack a season ago while Love will be able to shoulder a heavy scoring burden. (She averaged more than 20 points per game in Vandy’s eight games in 2020.) Taylor Chavez (Oregon), an intra-conference transfer, had an up-and-down season in 2020-21 but certainly what Adia Barnes saw in her (and she saw it through three seasons of facing Chavez) was a player who can spread the floor with her 3-point shooting. In 2019-20, Chavez shot 47 percent from beyond the arc. That kind of spacing on the offensive end, as well as a familiarity with Pac-12 opponents, will give both Chavez and Arizona a big boost.

OK, don't get all freaked out at me......I'm not trying to turn this into an Arizona WBB thread......But, for those of you who believe in scouting the enemy....and getting a realistic knowledge base about the opponent, the following article is an information-rich overview of the upcoming Wildcat WBB team....And, whether you like them or not, they've got one helluva lot of talent on their roster, and right now, their Head Coach Adia Barnes can get into just about any big time recruit's living room in the country.... The Bevs are looking at a tough season. GO BEAVS!! www.azdesertswarm.com/basketball/2021/7/18/22581946/arizona-wildcats-womens-basketball-early-depth-chart-2021-roster-starting-lineup-2022

Why are the Beavs looking at a tough season? Arizona has to play Stanford, UCLA, Oregon, and Oregon State, not to mention USC, Washington State, and Arizona State.
Seems every PAC 12 team is in for a tough season.

They are not mutually exclusive ideas.🤠
The Beavs are looking at a tough season. Not too hard to figure out. Stanford, UCLA, Oregon are also looking at a tough season. Not too hard to figure out.
So, I agree with you bvrbooster: "Seems every PAC 12 team is in for a tough season." GO BEAVS!!

That seems reasonable right now. What about the rest of the PAC 12?

That seems reasonable right now. What about the rest of the PAC 12? Stanford #3 (a bit insulting that the defending champs, who only lost 1 player and bring in a nice recruiting class, get bumped down to third)
Oregon #11
UCLA #25
No Arizona. Pac 12 seems to be undervalued...again. Despite what they keep doing year after year. This year surprisingly it might not be the SEC that is overrated, but the Big 10. They have 4 ranked in the top 10 by Lindys. Good teams, but that seems overly optimistic.
