Whoa, I think Rogers (WA) just dropped his 1/4 final match 5-4 v a tough PA kid. Yeah, he was up 4-1 and lost. That's a tough weight. WHisenhunt was down early then turned it on for the tech DeBlaere's run comes to an end - he won quite a few matches though Gillett is still alive for AA Barnes is done - a little surprised at that one

Walters wins 10-0....sheesh I hope he's on our radar too. He has talked a lot with the coaches and really likes the staff. A big problem will be money as the Beavers already have a lot of money allocated to the upper weights and an addition of Rowley or some other quality guy would finish the upper weight funds. JMHO. He is tripping to Oklahoma State in September. In the end, one of the Ivy League schools has been pushing hard and that education is tough to ignore. Of course, huge bucks.

Ruchti and Gillett both fall in the blood round... Ruchti loses by 1. Bummer.
Cadets - Dash Lamer in the finals at 160. Gage Singleton takes 3rd and 100. Justin Rademacher (West Linn) wrestling for 3rd at 170. Rademacher beat his first 6 opponents 60-0. Not too shabby. Lost 9-5 to one of the kids in the finals.
Juniors - Gabe can finish as high as 3rd. Hayden Walters in the semis. Solid showings from Ruchti, Gillett. Barnes and Nash Singleton each go 2-2.

Ok Rowley gets Silver @ Cadet Worlds
Loses 4-0 to his Indian challenger in the final.
What a great tournament and experience for he. Amazing. Congrats JR! And what do we know about Silver...the price will go up :-)
I think we can track Kodiak Stephens in the same tournament in GR

That's just incredible. When my son was in high school and we wrestled CV it was basically Alex Rich and then a whole bunch of kids on varsity who probably should have been wrestling JV/Novice.

Ok Whisenhunt takes 4th in a battle that went back-forth with 4 or 5 lead changes
Walters is listed as 3rd place, his bout isn't listed on upcoming matches. So he won by fft. Medical I presume.

It was a medical. By the way, Walters was trying to gain weight for the tournament. He came in well under the limit as he has been for months at 184. He didn’t like taking 3rd by forfeit. Much better to wrestle. He did get visit requests from additional, big time wrestling programs after yesterday, though.

My wish is that his mom/family are the greatest cooks ever and it will be a big push for he to go out of state and eat their offerings. That and his mattress is the most comfortable ever, and it would be hard to part with that too! hehe :-)

The weight class is 182 - 23 days before Fargo Walters weighed in at 191.8 at the state tournament in Oregon (per track wrestling official weigh-ins).
