Doubtful he will get the opportunity to do both. Many players over the years have been recruited and told they'd be a 2 way guy and then when they get here they take the bat away. It's unfortunate but definitely seems to be the way it has always gone. At least in recent history

Some of what I posted on the Recruiting Board.
Brandon is 6-1, 211 and prepped at Empire HS in Tucson,AZ. He played is freshman year at Scottsdale CC and when they cancelled their 2020 season (Pandemic) he transferred to Seward,KS C.C. Seward played in 2020.
At Empire HS, he played 3B, 1B and pitched. He was a Tucson Star All City performer and had a career BA of .363 and OBP of .487. He had 28 doubles, 2 triples, 9 Home Runs and 53 RBI.
His home is in Sonoita, Arizona. He is a high character guy with a 4.0 GPA at both Scottsdale and Seward County. What prompted Oregon State's staff to visit Kansas? Brandon is still developing as a pitcher but lighting up the "Stalker" with 95 and 96 mpg gas probably had Dorman's attention and triggered a visit.
I would guess his profile as a multi-positioned utility player (CIF, RHP, and DH) reduces the risk of failing at one specific position. Another live Beaver arm in the pen. You can never have too many . . . .Greed is good.

Speed is good , until it isn't . Hope , If he ends up on the mound, that he has a strong secondary pitch. PAC 12 hitters are just too good to get out with just the fast ball .

That is so wrong. I knew Harlen Sanders, he was a fraud and a poseur. He was a prohibitionist and belonged to the same Temperance Union as I. He abhorred people who indulged in the spirits and would become livid at the sight of public drunkenness.
A tee-totaler blessed with a knack in the kitchen, the Colonel gave us the "Big Bucket" and differentiated between "Mild and extra crispy". A gifted man, he could make chicken salad out of chickensh*t.
Careful how you go with the Colonel, Wilky.
