For those who are coming to Bend for the Knights - Elks series, any preview of Beavs re: the Elks, may not be much. The two Beav (P) on the staff are pitching yesterday and today, so very unlikely any Tue., Wed., Thur. usage.
A.J. Lattery started last night and threw 5 innings, allowing just 1 hit. Incoming Freshman David Case starts tonight.
Gavin Logan has been in the regular 'rotation' at catcher.
Jordan Donahue hasn't played since 6/17.
Incoming Freshman Mason Guerra (Oregon HS #1 player) has played about half the time. He's looked OK in the field, but is 2-20 at plate...clearly overmatched - so far - by college arms.
The Elks as a whole however have been tearing it up at the plate. They're finishing up a 9-game road trip today (5-3 to date on the trip)
Greg Fuchs: nowhere to be seen.
Kyle Nobach - Joey Wong - Tyler Graham running the show.

Check website or call for starting times for games - Knights are starting todays game at Goss at 11am to try to beat the worst of the heat, so times for the Bend games may also shift. Wife and I have tickets for the 29th, may have to be another late morning start.

Tue 6/29 & Wed. 6/30 CORVALLIS Knights - BEND Elks (in Bend): The GAMES on those 2 evenings WILL officially begin at 7:35 pm. Gates open at 6:35.
Tuesday's 'promo' is 12 oz. Coors/Coors Light at $2. If you like good beer, the choices are awesome: 16 oz. $6.
Best food deal: nice generous bag of peanuts in the shell at $2.50.
Restroom WAY out the 3rd base line (in the BIG green building) is far superior.
btw, at the last home game a car in the parking lot got a foul ball busted windshield. Park smart.

Interesting update: 6/28 - Jacob Kmatz, one of the Beavs top recruits in class of 2021, signs with Bend Elks.
also: J. Donahue no longer with Elks.

Game didn't go well for Knights last night. Couldn't hit with runners in scoring position. That is one poorly maintained infield. Worst I've seen at any level, seriously.
Weather was warm but nice breeze and comfortable especially after sunset. Met lots of Beaver fans.
