Players, coaches, staff, everyone associated with the team had two months + to get vaccinated. Totally selfish behavior by those who didn't, and everyone paid the consequences. More information would be helpful to understanding what happened here. There may be almost literally a billion reasons beyond "selfishness." I do not believe that casting blame without that information is helpful in the least. It happened. It sucked. Do you really need a pound of flesh, as well? Answer me this. If players, coaches, staff, and everyone associated with the team had been vaccinated two months ago, do you think this would have happened? Thought so. |

Thread Title could be: "Huh. SEC Teams better at getting COVID Vaccinations than ACC" It ain't rocket science. There is no 'pound of flesh' in play here. Get the f*cking shot and play baseball! Sorta like "See the ball; hit the ball" (Peter Edward Rose Sr.) You must know the Commodore team vaccination rate. Please post it. It was announced several days ago that the entire Vandy roster had been vaccinated. Because Vanderbilt is a private university, they had an easier path to requiring all the players to be vaccinated. Further, they were all tested on (I believe) 6/25 and none were positive. That being said, I dearly hope that Mississippi State can pull out the series ala OSU 2018. Down with The Commodores !! |

You must know the Commodore team vaccination rate. Please post it. It was announced several days ago that the entire Vandy roster had been vaccinated. Because Vanderbilt is a private university, they had an easier path to requiring all the players to be vaccinated. Further, they were all tested on (I believe) 6/25 and none were positive. That being said, I dearly hope that Mississippi State can pull out the series ala OSU 2018. Down with The Commodores !! That’s interesting. Thanks. Strikes me as odd that private or public they could release that info. I didn’t see it in any of the stories about NC State. |

Thanks for the detailed update. At present, it's more of a moot point/autopsy situation than anything else. FACT: Vandy only needs 1 more win, with 2 chances to achieve it. I shouldn't have used the phrase "It was announced...". As your article clearly states, no such announcement occurred - and in fact was declined. More accurate would have been "It is rumored..." My sources were various posts on Twitter - some of which were from seemingly 'normal' people...but with the credence of K. Rogers or others. Twitter is what it is. I accept that my post itself puts me in the camp of 'rumor-spreaders'. On the other hand, hopefully this mea-culpa clearly distinguishes me an a non-"douche bag" (to use the term of another...not you Spud.) |
