Maybe someone else will see it, but I don't think the article stated if the original guys to get sick had been vaccinated. If they had been, there may be a problem with the protocol. If they had not, it's their own stupid fault.

Ironically Mississipi has the lowest vax rate in the country. But, covid may be their undoing - pitching depth.

If they had not, it's their own stupid fault. It appears that they were only testing unvaccinated players. And one had it. The roommate also had it. (It is unclear to me, if he was vaccinated or not.) There were at least two more unvaccinated players who got COVID-19. And then an additional four vaccinated players, who were in the dugout against Vanderbilt, also got it. I believe that all of that means that around 13 players on NC State were not vaccinated. (Unless someone was out for a different reason?) I think that a travelling party is 27, less the one roommate. Only 13 players were available on Friday. So, napkin math: 27-1-13=13. If true, it looks like NC State screwed this up for themselves. Which sucks, because I was really cheering NC State on to beat Vanderbilt. Oh well. 13 minus the four vaccinated players with COVID-19 means that NC State's available players would have been down to nine on Sunday, which I guess made it a mandatory no-contest? I don't know.

I read that one of the protocols was if there were 4 or more outbreaks, then that was listed as removal (crisis) or something to that affect. Can't remember the exact wording the NC double A's mentioned.

Players, coaches, staff, everyone associated with the team had two months + to get vaccinated. Totally selfish behavior by those who didn't, and everyone paid the consequences.

More information would be helpful to understanding what happened here. There may be almost literally a billion reasons beyond "selfishness." I do not believe that casting blame without that information is helpful in the least. It happened. It sucked. Do you really need a pound of flesh, as well?

SEC Teams better at getting COVID Vaccinations than ACC" It ain't rocket science. There is no 'pound of flesh' in play here. Get the f*cking shot and play baseball! I don’t think you have a good concept of what a billion is.

I don’t think you have a good concept of what a billion is. I think the lack of "good concept" (of "billion") was revealed by use of the phrase "may be almost literally". What would an OSU English Comp 101 Professor do with that one?
