Northwst Baseball 2023 rankings - Top-50 in Washington. To date the state of Washington has 19 Division I commits with 12 headed to the PAC-12. The Beavers have 3 commitments on the list, all from King County.
No. 7 is Ethan Unruh, a RHP from Woodinville. Ethan has a long, lanky frame and at 6-5, 185 projects well as a college hurler. As a HS freshman in 2020, he threw a lively fastball at 85 mph that had heavy sink and armside run. Has a 78 mph 10-4 slider. Throws from a low 3/4 arm slot, comparable to Cooper Hjerpe. A developing young pitcher with a high ceiling.
No. 10 is Reeve Boyd, a RHP/SS from Seattle Prep HS. At 6-1, 175 Boyd is foremost, an athlete. known for his effortless play at SS and missie like throws across the infield. As a HS freshman, Boyd ran a 7.11 Sixty, IF Velo at 88-89 and Exit Velo of 97. A smooth swing and fluid power project well in the college game. Boyd is also one of the Top five or six underclass pitching prospects in Wahington.
No. 12 is Jordan Holloway, an OF from Seattle Prep HS. An emerging young OF prospect and a teammate at Prep with Reeve Boyd. Holloway is long and lean at 6-3 and 175. He has a fast bat and fast feet. He's run a 6.75 Sixty and is comparable to Mica McDowell in terms of build, speed and defense. A line drive hitter with some developing power as he fills out and gains strength. Good basketball player. A Science and Tech guy with a 3.5 GPA at Seattle Preparatory School.
* * In reference to Holloway, I used Jordan as opposed to Jayden. I have seen it both ways several times - not sure which is correct, but I will find out.
