15 years ago today was the 4-3 North Carolina win, which put Oregon State back in a hole.
4 years ago today was the 6-1 Greg Street game to end the 2017 campaign.
3 years ago yesterday, Oregon State beat Mississippi State 5-2 to set up the Arkansas Championship Series. The series was supposed to start three years ago tomorrow but was delayed a day by rain and began on the 26th.

15 years ago today was the 4-3 North Carolina win, which put Oregon State back in a hole. 4 years ago today was the 6-1 Greg Street game to end the 2017 campaign. 3 years ago yesterday, Oregon State beat Mississippi State 5-2 to set up the Arkansas Championship Series. The series was supposed to start three years ago tomorrow but was delayed a day by rain and began on the 26th. That rain made me feel a whole lot better. I was all set to fly in - horse trade at work, pay the premium for the airline ticket, etc. if the Beavs made the finals, then work got in the way. And in the end it worked out, because the rain delay meant that I would not have been able to stay that extra day to see the last game. It was much better to watch it on tv knowing I wasn't spending half my time brooding on the "I should be there for this". |

15 years ago today: Heading to the bottom of the fourth, it is 5-0 North Carolina. Tyler Graham was plunked, John Wallace singled and Chris Kunda walked to load the bases. That all set up: The video shows Shea McFeely's two-run double, Darwin Barney's RBI base hit, the wild pitch that scored McFeely and Bill Rowe's two-out three-run home run to put Oregon State up 7-5. There are some good highlights after that, as well. That set up the 2006 Championship Game tomorrow 15 years ago. Arkansas-Oregon State was set to start in 2018 but  was rained out. The Arkansas-Oregon State series started on the 26th and really did not begin in earnest until the 27th. |
