Fehmel is currently on the 60 day injured list with the Giant's High-A affiliate, the Eugene Emeralds. The Emeralds play in the Northwest League.
Jake Thompson is currently assigned to the Red Sox AA club in Portland, Maine - the Portland Sea Dogs. Following surgery and because of concerns over arm longevity and stamina, the Red Sox are focused on making Jake an effective closer, the role he's in at Portland.
Jakes stats: 12 games, 12 1/3 IP, 12 hits, 10 runs (6 earned), 6 BB, 13 K. and 1.82 WHIP.
Jake will need a good year at AA, he'll be 27 years old on Sepember 22nd. The Pandemic, surgery and lost time to other injuries have intrerupted his developmental progress in the minor leagues.
