The Okotoks Black 18u Team in Okotoks, Alberta is underway with their Covid shortened 40 game, 2021 season. The Black team made up of college commits from Calgary and across Canada are one of Canada's strongest amateur programs every year. Current OSU roster players, Micha McDowell and Gavin Logan are former members of the Dawg Black Team. This years Black team features commits headed to Oregon, Washington, Tennessee, Washington State and Oregon State
Ty Doucette is a 6'3, 220 LH starting first baseman from Halifax, Nova Scotia and one of the teams top hitters. He's committed to Oregon State in the class of 2023. A powerful bat has him playing up a division this summer.
Connor Pote a 6-7, 205 RHP from Sherwood Park, Alberta pitches for the Okotoks Black. He is a member of the OSU 2022 recruiting class.
Both guys are sons of former MLB organization players.
