The White Sox have recalled Jace Fry from Charlotte. Landers is a great nickname for Incheon. Jace Fry looked good for the first three batters in the sixth on July 3rd: ꓘ, GO and K. However, they let him keep pitching into the seventh: BB, infield 1B, HR, BB and BB. The leadoff runner after the home run was caught stealing, but that was still a bad third of an inning. Fry came in in the sixth on July 5th with a runner on third. Fry threw a wild pitch to score the runner from third. He then gave up an infield single before settling and getting the next batter to ground into an inning-ending double-play. Sam Gaviglio's first game in Korea was on July 2nd. He threw 5.2 innings, two strikeouts, four runs on eight hits, a walk and a hit batsman. He left with a 5-4 lead, but the bullpen blew it, and the Giants beat the Landers 6-5 in 10. Gaviglio's second game was on July 7th. He threw 4.2 innings, four strikeouts, eight runs (seven earned) on eight hits and four walks. He left with runners on second and third and they both scored. Gaviglio picked up the loss. Interestingly, he was out-deuled by Jake Brigham (6th Round, #178, in the 2006 MLB Draft), who was a reliever for the Braves in 2015. Brigham pitched in Japan in 2016 and has mostly been pitching in Korea since (absent a four-game stint in China in March and April of this year).
