Nice link, informative.
A review of the Oriole's MiLB prospects that are not far from joining the big club.
Adley is a level above prospect status. He is a 5-Tool generational player that is the future of the Oriole franchise.
That's strong, but as we all know, he's that good.

Guys like Adley who got the coin of a 1st round pick, they are the fortunate few. Most of these guys are never going to sniff higher than AA money and you can see what that amounts to.

Baltimore DFAed one of its triple-A catchers today. Maybe Adley will get to move up to Norfolk.

A piece on Yahoo News (rivals the NY Times in credibiity) today with G.M. Elias defending the Oriole organization after a flurry of internet activity alleged that Oriole farmhands at AA Bowie were considering sleeping in their cars because of high rent prices in the DC area.
I hope Adley isn't one of them. Those Rolls Royce Silver Clouds can become a wee bit crampted with all that catcher's gear taking up space.

Cadyn Grenier continues to demonstrate that he is ONE STREAKY HITTER! BA on May 13 .182 / on June 13 .315 / on July 13 .244. He's hitting .133 for July so far.
Bowie Baysox teammate Adley Rutschman has tailed off a bit with a July BA of .189.....now .274 on the season, but with a healthy .896 OPS on the season. Only .637 OPS in July though.

The Mets claimed Sisco off waivers and stuck him in AAA. The two AAA Norfolk catchers are currently Brett Cumberland (California's starting catcher in 2015 and 2016) and Cody Roberts (North Carolina's right fielder in 2018). North Carolina's starting catcher in 2018, Brandon Martorano is currently at AA Richmond in the Giant organization.

I think what Baltimore is trying to do (besides the obvious of saving money) is create a winning mindset in some minor leaguers. I'd heard Charlie Finlay tried to do that with the AA 1967 Birmingham A's. They went 84-55 that year with Reggie Jackson, Joe Rudi, Rollie Fingers and a few others. It carried over to the big team in the future. Bowie is 42-29 now, behind Akron's (with Kwan, who homered again last night) 44-27. Baseball has changed some. I see Birmingham's slash line was 236/309/342 but the ERA was 2.63, WHIP was 1.25 and they gave up 55 HR in the 139 games.
