The earlier you throw your best pitcher, the earlier you get him back for a second start.
Like Leo Dorocher said (paraphrasing), Win the game you're playing. Then worry about the next one, because it might rain tomorrow.

If he pitches on Saturday, he should be ready to start on game 3/4 on the 25th. Best case scenario, Williams throws against Arizona. Worst case scenario, Williams throws against Vandy. |

Watching Gilbert with Tennessee with 60 RBI's and Susac being PAC 12 frosh of the year,I have to think what could have been. Both were commits...oh well How many months ago did I say that ?!…. But thank you. |

As far as Gilbert and his 60 rbi season, how many rbis would he have gotten at OSU? He was recruited as a lefty pitcher with plus stuff. How many strong-armed, lefty pitchers get a shot at the plate under Casey, Bailey, Yeskie or any other coach in the last 15 years with OSU?

As far as Gilbert and his 60 rbi season, how many rbis would he have gotten at OSU? He was recruited as a lefty pitcher with plus stuff. How many strong-armed, lefty pitchers get a shot at the plate under Casey, Bailey, Yeskie or any other coach in the last 15 years with OSU? He only pitched eight innings all season. Looks like they used him as a hitter, not a pitcher. |

They are difference makers... Definitely. At the same time, a lefty, power pitcher comes to Oregon State at that time, he is going to be a lefty pitcher. At bats won’t happen. Didn't Matty Boyd get some AB's in his freshman year? 85 plate appearances in 2010 and 2 plate appearances in 2011. He did not get to hit after his sophomore year, though. |
