Great DP! Armstrong from his knees to Dernedde who basically jump throws off second over to Ober, who fully stretches out. Everyone did their job to perfection there.

Can you imagine the shellacking Canham would be getting from all corners if he had 1st and 2nd with no outs and didn't bunt, resulting in a double play....TWICE?!?
(And yes, I would be one of them...dumb not to bunt both times there....)
Glad the other team has to deal with that right now, heh....

Not Pac 12 good, though. /s Needed to hit better in conference. All-Tourney in Omaha > All-Pac-12 anyway. I disagree. He was one of our most consistent hitters when no one else was hitting. Just went cold toward the end of the season. His defense has been a cornerstone of our play in the field. No biggie, though. He'll show them along the way. |

These commentators are definitely the Z team. Michael Gretler was a key member of the 2018 team, but the "heart and soul?" Uh, not even close. I can forgive some embellishment on a team's history for narrative purposes. However, I shook my head that this guy just said playing left or right field isn't that big of a difference, but going from a corner outfield position to CF was way different. I just know that when I was in high school, I could play right or center just fine, but I HATED left. Could never get a good read off the bat. |
