I have to admit that I'm very impressed with our guys' grit. I questioned their mental toughness after a really tough stretch run where it seemed like we found new, and interesting ways to lose series......the guys really came out Saturday, and Sunday and showed that they absolutely belong in this tournament! Yesterday started off with the announcers assuming TCU would prevail, and ended with Forresters walk off......yesterdays games were both instant classics.....Jeff Ramp, I'm jealous! And now the talking heads are taking notice again.... No matter what happens in game 7, I'm super proud of how this team has shown itself in this regional. I'm feeling pretty guilty right now for jinxing us in Fort Worth. First of all I allowed myself my first beer of the weekend when we went up 5-0 on Monday. And we all know what happened after THAT. To add to that I brought along my 80 year old pal Roy. As luck (?) would have it Roy has been to Omaha three times for the CWS, with those three years being 2005, 2013 and 2017. The three years he missed going to Omaha were 2006, 2007 and 2018. Mea Culpa! So no Roy next trip to Omaha? Seems like a no brainer |
