Hopefully not getting a run with bases loaded and one out won't come back to haunt the Beavers. Hate to see opportunities like that and not get anything. I am kind of surprised the safety squeeze wasn't on with only one out. Seems to be the way to go in the last few years.

Both swings and misses for strike three weren’t even close to being strikes. Yup - their reliever spiked about 5 pitches and only threw 2 in the zone, but let him off the hook swinging at the pitches that weren't in the dirt. |

Observation: what kept Casey from scoring from second on Andy’s base hit? Seems like we should have been more aggressive with the go ahead run.

Does it matter that it hit the bat as he was ducking the pitch? Nope. That’s a foul ball. Ouch Yeah. You can see him contorting to get out of the way and that's the only reason the bat made contact. Doesn't seem fair. He wasn't attempting to hit the ball. Oh well. Since when is anything fair? LOL |

I can see that because the ball was in the air a little bit. Would have been a really bad to get double off of second. Not a coaches call. Runner is taught to make sure the ball is going to drop. |
