In 2018, Oregon State started the College World Series as the higher-seeded "home" team. The starter pitched like garbage and did not see the fourth. The Beavers dug themselves a 6-1 deficit before almost digging themselves out.
The 2021 team has started the Fort Worth Regional similarly.
The forecast tomorrow:
78 / 69 °F
Thunderstorms. Humidity:68% Feels Like:80 °F
Precipitation Chance: 91%
Hopefully, Oregon State and McNeese State can fit the game in tomorrow. Then, I hope that the nightcap is wiped out to give the Beavers a chance to rest up.
In 2018, Oregon State sank to the losers' bracket against the lowest-seeded team, playing the farthest from home in a game played with a gathering storm at the ballpark. 2021 is shaping up much the same.
Go Beavs!

We were at TD Americatrade Park in 2018 when that gully washer hit just before game time. I have never seen anything to compare to that. I was watching the TD sign and the tall poles and it looked like someone had opened the flood gates between the two poles. It was amazing. We ran from our seats on the drip line and did not make it before we were thoroughly drenched. But it was a warm rain. LOL

I'm not sure the Beavers are interested in "resting up". Remember, were the one with all the pitching.

I'm not sure the Beavers are interested in "resting up". Remember, were the one with all the pitching. For now. I am not worried about TCU. The Beavers' third starter against the Frogs' third starter. Great stuff. But, when we roll our fourth starter against Dallas Baptist's third, I am concerned.

In 2018, Oregon State sank to the losers' bracket against the lowest-seeded team, playing the farthest from home (Washington). Washington jumped out to a multi-run lead in the third. Oregon State came back to take the lead by the fifth. But Washington came back and the game was tied 5-5 in the seventh. The Beavers scored five in the eighth to put the game away.
The 2021 team has started the Fort Worth Regional similarly.
In 2018, Oregon State started the College World Series 1-1 and then played the highest-seeded team on the Beavers' side of the bracket in one of the worst-umpired games other than the obvious 2017 LSU debacle.
Go Beavs!
